A.m free at hotel for leisure activities. P.m. Guided tour of Chennai covering Govt. Museum (closed on fridays), Fort st. George, Kapaleeshwar temple, Saint thomas cathedral. Drive along the marina beach. Return to hotel in the evening.

After breakfast at hotel proceed for a guided tour of Kancheepuram (02 hrs drive). On  arrival at Kancheepuram visit Ekambareshwar temple, Kailashnathar temple, Varadaraja perumal temple, Visit silk weaving factory. Continuation by surface to Mahabalipuram (01 hour 30 mnts drive). After lunch at seaside beach restaurant, sight seeing of Mahabalipuram covering The penance of bhagirath, Shore temple, Five rathas. Proceed to the beach resort. Rest of the evening free on the beach.

After breakfast at hotel departure to Pondicherry (02 hours drive). Enroute   visitng arjuna’s penance (photo stop) and small villages. On arrival at Pondichery checkin at the hotel. P.m. Guided tour of Pondicherry covering Sri aurobindo ashram, The Pondicherry museum, The old part of Pondicherry. Return to the hotel. Evening free to walk along the promenade.

After breakfast departure to Chidambaram (02 hours). On arrival visit Natraja temple.
After lunch at Chidambaram, proceed to Tanjore. Enroute visiting Darasuram and Swamimalai. On arrival at Tanjore checkin at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel proceed on a guided tour of tanjore visiting Brihadiswara temple,
Bronze museum, The palace, Saraswati mahal library. Return to hotel.

After lunch checkout and proceed to trichy. On arrival at Trichy proceed on a guided tour covering Sri ranganatha swamy temple at  Srirnagam, Sri jambukeswara temple  at tiruvanaikoil, The rock fort – uchi pilliyar koil. Proceed to the hotel. On arrival checkin at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel checkout and proceed to Madurai (03 hours 30 mnts drive). Enroute visit coir making, pot making factories in the villages. On arrival at Madurai checkin at hotel.

After lunch proceed on a guided tour of Madurai visiting The Meenakshi temple, Palace of tirumalai nayak, Gandhi museum. Return to hotel for dinner. After dinner walk through the busy bazaars of Madurai and reach Meenakshi temple in time to visit the night ceremony.

After breakfast at hotel departue to periyar (04 hrs drive).  On arrival checkin at hotel. After lunch proceed to periyar wild life sanctuary for game viewing by boat on lake periyar.  This sanctuary is home to bisons, antelopes, sambar deers, wild boars, languar monkeys, a variety of birds, 750 elephants and estimated 35 tigers. You must be really lucky to spot the tigers, otherwise you can see elephants and other animals. Return to hotel.

After breakfast checkout and proceed to Kumarakom (03 hrs drive). Enroute visit coffee/tea/rubber/cocoa plantations. On arrival at Kumarakom in the afternoon, checkin at the hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities at the hotel.

After breakfast at hotel departure by boat to allepey exploring the backwater life of Kerala cruising through the narrow canals.  Arrive allepey and transfer by surface to Cochin.  On arrival checkin at hotel. In the afternoon proceed on a guided tour of Cochin visiting Fort cochin, Jewish town, Mattancherry palace, Chinese fishing nets. Proceed to the theatre to visit kathakali dance programme.  Return to hotel.

After lunch proceed to saravanabelagola  - this is the oldest  and most important jain pilgimage centres in india and the site of the huge 17 metres high naked statue of             gomatesvara. Continuation to mysore. On arrival checkin at hotel in Mysore.
